About the programmer
Every two years since 1994 Figura Theaterfestival has been presenting high quality productions from home and abroad, with countless Swiss debut performances in all the theatres of Baden, Wettingen and Turgi, and open air on the streets and squares of the town.
From 18-23 June 2024, Figura Theaterfestival will feature about 30 performances from different European countries and overseas. The main emphasis lies on contemporary theatre forms for an adult audience. But we also offer a program for the whole family.
Handbendi is an award-winning puppetry and visual theatre company based in Iceland. The company specialises in unique puppet commissions, puppetry direction, and the development of original theatrical productions for national and international touring. Handbendi also runs Hvammstangi International Puppetry Festival and Stúdíó Handbendi international artist residency.
